Behind Right-Wing Hype

I am unable to comprehend why Americans living on fixed incomes, low-wage earners, and middle-class Americans choose to support a political party based upon their political efforts to legislate morality. Look around. Is the Republican economic trickle-down theory working for you? Is Wall Street's record profits enhancing your life?

May I suggest leaving each individual's conscience a matter between them and God. If their actions do not negatively affect you, is it any of your business?

Instead of supporting a political party because it tries to dictate its own morality upon others, may I suggest worrying more about taking care of yourself and your own family. This is the basis for capitalism and democracy. Our forefathers separated church and state for this very reason.

My, my... why would anyone on social security vote for a party candidate that hasn't allowed a COLA in three years, keeps increasing medicare deductibles and supplemental insurance rates while boasting of reducing taxes for the wealthiest Americans? *scratching head*

Republicans want to create a caste system in America... the haves and the have-nots. They are dismantling public education, eliminating student loans, reducing grants, subsidizing private charter schools with tax breaks for the wealthy, and slamming the door on equal access to higher education. It is government's responsibility to ensure ALL Americans have access to higher education. College tuition continues to increase while middle-class incomes decline. Soon, America will mirror the countries from which our founding fathers fled seeking opportunity in this new land.

The short-sightedness of the Republican party is glaring. They want to sell us their products and services at the same time they're shipping our jobs overseas. Our economy is based on consumption, not production. If we don't produce anything, how can we buy their products? We can't. But guess what. They don't care. They'll sell them to Chinese, Brazilians, Indians, and other emerging markets. Americans won't have an education to gain employment in high-tech jobs. Instead, we'll be the ones driving the trucks, cooking their food, cleaning their homes, cutting their grass.

If voters looked at the real issues instead of the hyped belligerence uttered by fools to rally those who fall prey to simple-minded media soundbytes, there would  never be another Republican elected until they changed their party platform. Voting themselves a raise while cutting social security. That's not their money. It's mine. The problem is... they've already spent it. Now they want me to do without while they keep giving themselves raises. Grrrrrrr....

A Midsummer Fantasy: Pathway to Peace

To some, comes a time we no longer feel satiated with the material world. Our pursuit of riches and success fails to fill the void. Too many questions, too few answers. Our ego speechless. Emptiness tolls in dinning solitude. And we find ourselves unwilling to reside in the peripheral wastelands of consciousness yet another day.

Driven by a realization that no more is to come than has passed, dreams become vague memories of youth's ambition derailed amid life's turbulence. When aches and pains temper our actions and grief and loss soften our resolve, mortality consumes us. As fair trade in this inevitably tragic battle against time, the wisdom of experiences pale our loss. Yet without sharing, seems quite the irony. Who above ground benefits from knowledge buried beneath, returned to Mother Earth?

A frailty of humankind, conceit, among others, creates false beliefs to languish comfortably among our ego's repertoire of cheap emotional card tricks. The deeper the trance, the greater perchance, excessive indulgence in this trifling human folly is constructed. Wisdom escapes its impending tomb in time and space only through dual actions. One, the seeker's; the other, in a state of peace. Seeking without finding the other is incomplete, a half without a whole, a stream without an end.

Modern media's culture is entertainment without lesson. Perhaps primers' courses graze along lower latitudes, but greater fruits of import, insightful discourse, nestle among the slopes of majestic peaks, obscured beyond the clouds of confusion, unseen by farmers among the plains. Yet, is this not the needle's direction our plotters' compass sets course? So that shackles and chains need not bind our limbs? So that whips and prods remain in our houses of history on public display as if serfdom and noblesse, relics of the past, quaint concepts of a darker day upon the foundations of which modern society arises a phoenix, transformed and enlightened?

Nay. Only the carrot dangles before us stead the prod behind. No more change than that; simply more the same. A sheer facade scantily drapes the Truth, oblique to the citizenry. The glitter of things possessed and those still desired, power the wheel upon which the cages spin round and round 'til Mother Earth receives her progeny, deposited from whence we come, none the better for legacy or nation, father or son, mother or daughter.

When still wet from the womb of forever and never, amen, we weave fine silks to fade in the sunlight of surreality, raggedly rampaged in winds of oppression. Dressed in ignorance, we plod a pathway of blinded dimensions in a timeless world of unfathomable reaches. Treading water in a broad, sweeping river betrays our motion, til upon the brim of the great mouth we recognize our own self we deceive, our heaping consumed, a minor in tragedy, a major in waste, haunting our consciousness, driven to resolution, madness or genius, to depths of Hell or heights of great joy.

But this roulette wheel need not select our fate. With ever-changing dictates, we toil for ego-prized trinkets. We stress our emotional selves at attempts to control those things which we cannot with struggles for this or that, encountering loose ends upon dead ends, one hurdle arises after another. Yet this is life. Nothing can change it. No one control it. Deal with it. But only a fool would base the value of self-worth upon a random world spinning chaotically against winds of coincidence and chance, following paths mined by detours and roadblocks seeded with traps of corruption and greed on a sorrowful journey of endless heartache and grief.

For above the fray, our Eternal Self remains, patiently waiting, watching for our ego to falter in a moment of despair when we reach for higher ground and break free the binds our hypnotic state imposes. In that brief dash for freedom--our True Self leaps from the starting blocks to awaken within us, to destroy the great deception, to expose the Truth that we are not that which abides in the world of man, but that which is forever, eternal in its being, that which resides above the upper reaches of the human mind in virtual lobes superior to conscious, intellectual thought--we gather fuzzy glimpses of the Light.

Though compelling, uplifting and exciting in nature, brilliant in magnitude, this ever-so-fast lightning flash across our consciousness, the ego relinquishes not its throne willingly. Rare, indeed, if ever, the monarch that concedes power willingly. But at least, we finally realize the possibility of a Watcher within us. A Silent Observer dwelling in the kingdom of Heaven. Complete. This Eternal Self needs nothing from a world we can see or touch. Neither does it seek anything. Only to be, is the reason for its existence. At this level, as one with God, our Creator, the Source, Whomever, we are eternal. The entire visible Universe is conjured from within the Mind of God. There is not but energy, Divine Psychic Energy. This, and we are the Great Objective with no emotion, no agenda, just to be. And when the matinee concludes and the curtain falls, there are no lost boys and girls, all roads lead Home.

Some may question, "What about the evil-doers among us?" Others may argue, "Surely they do not enter into the gates of Paradise!" I would only say, evil exists at the pleasure of all. Hitler cannot bear the responsibility of World War II atrocities alone. He is but a single man, an ego lost among the madness of millions, acting out a tragedy, each actor, playing their own role, choosing daily, even minutely, which actions he or she, will make. Pull the trigger, or not. Create atrocities in the name of a distant, pitiful cause. Woe, what tragedies even Allies created in response. There were none innocent. Though one man led, millions carried his perverted dream within. Millions more filled their souls with the greatest enmity for each and every German man and woman, boy and girl... many of whom never participated in an actual act of war. Even Japanese Americans, completely innocent of the sins and crimes of their former homeland, were subjected to the evils of "goodness." What of waves of bombers' unleashed hellfire upon the women, children and elderly of Dresden, Berlin, Nagasaki and Hiroshima in unholy acts of revenge, criminal warfare by the British and American air forces?

In one great human folly, nearly an entire global population is complicit. Where does the guilt, action or reaction, admitted or excused, begin and end? The same is true of all evil-doers. Are there not "innocent" persons--somewhere, someplace, conspicuously absent in the trials and prisons--enablers, contributors to the consummation of pain in acts of violence and depravity? Would it not be so without them? The human race is guilty by definition, by our very nature. This is a common thread among all religions. Yet many egos of self-righteous persons elevate themselves above others, as if untouched by the realities of Creation and perpetuated by governments, cultures and extremists.

Once, and only until the entirety of humankind accepts full responsibility for all sins and crimes against nature and humanity throughout the world since the beginning of time, may we lift up each other, extend love and compassion and create a completely harmonious world in every aspect, free of war and famine. Every single human being is our brother and sister. Every living beast, gnat to albatross, mouse to elephant, krill to whale, are necessary for our continued survival in an unimaginably complex life circle. Every living plant, an integral to the whole of Creation's health and existence. Every tangible form upon this planet arose from the dust of stars and that portion of us which resides within the ego's domain shall inevitably return to whence it came.

Thus, the pretension of one person over another, is quite humorous and would be quite laughable if not for the destruction and pain created in its manifestations. One human being to another the world is love. One government to another the world is filled with the sins of humankind. In the words of the Los Angeles rioter, Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?" The answer is "yes," only if we allow our True Self to expose our egos for what they are. This is the intended purpose of religion; though it has accomplished much good, it has fallen far short of the necessary heights to which humankind must rise. There is no "Us" and "Them;" only "We" exists.

If federal governments cannot exist within this mindset, they no longer serve the people's best interests, if indeed, ever they did. I know there are many opposed to a one-world government and this bold statement flies in the face of change, one of humanity's most feared realities, but if there were no governments with which to fight, no greener grass across the fence, perhaps the economic wastes of bombs and bullets could be eliminated and the world's prosperity better spent upon food and shelter, medicines for the body and soul. Anarchy (no governments) would be better than oppression. The power within us, collectively, has no limitations, no boundaries. We are constrained, jailed, imprisoned in the status quo, only by our inabilities to visualize solutions to contemporary problems. The immeasurable potential in a united global focus upon peace and prosperity for humankind has no equal.

Think outside the box... literally. Make contact with your Source. Rise above the petty demands and desires of our ego's daily needs. It is the wickedness within each of us, which we must defeat. It requires no bloodshed. No lives lost. It simply requires love. Love for oneself. Love for thy brother and sister. Love for the beautiful creation we have been granted the opportunity to experience in human form. Love for our Creator, Whom resides within each and every living thing. May there be Peace on Earth.

Worshiping the Messenger?

Why does the Christian religion demand belief that Jesus was immaculately conceived? Who begat Jesus has nothing to do with the True Word. Eternal life is already a state of being for each of us. Christianity, as I interpret the words attributed to Jesus, is not about the messenger, any messenger.  It’s the message. Deifying Jesus amounts to worshiping a rock star or movie idol—on steroids. Jesus taught love. Jesus was love. And his words are even more valuable today because of Mankind’s dialogue with itself via the Internet.  But as long as religions compete with each other in a judgmental way, Man's universal love for each other will never become a reality.

Today, right now, we have the opportunity to unite the peoples of the world in a common bond of love. Man is at a crossroads, the likes of which he has never before encountered. We have a choice of paths, one towards the light and the other, well… destruction of the world as we know it. Everything boils down to this: Do we want to leave this planet to our children in better or worse condition than we received it? Do we want to be remembered as ones who protected and safely passed on our precious inheritance or be considered frail, human beings beset with weaknesses and overcome by greed, gluttony and sloth?

Each human being, one within the greater Whole Being, are among the smallest, least brightest of all Creation, but as a single bird within a swirling flock or a fish within a choreographed school of tropical brilliance, billions of our sisters and brothers sparkle and shimmer, flowing in spectacular harmony for our Creator’s enjoyment.

To create world peace, we must stop the killing, feed the hungry and heal the ill. Billions of individual choices correctly made will bring about an unstoppable alliance of God’s love. It is this power of billions of conscious decisions to love thy neighbor that will lead us into a world the likes of which we want to leave our children. Together humanity is limited only by our own expectations. If we look at other nations, societies and religions with contempt and disdain from a sense of superiority, we will project our hate and condemnation upon them and thus, mirror it back at ourselves, creating a dark and desolate future of our own making.

Jesus is credited for saying, "Love thy neighbor." There were no qualifying "ifs", "ands" or "buts." Pure and simple--"Love thy neighbor." Spread love, not war. If we love our "enemies" we change the world in a better way. Paranoia-driven drones and missiles only feed the evilness within ourselves. WWJD? I submit he would not want to be the source of conflict between nations. But as long as Christianity demands belief that he was the Creator incarnate and all other religions are false, we can never have world peace, not simply because of the belief, but the "Us" vs. "Them" mindset it fosters. We are One.

America: New Beginning or Lost Opportunity?

President Obama at the Crossroads

As America seeks to heal herself after eight years of the previous administration's divisive domestic and foreign policies, I believe President Obama is the right man at the right time in our nation's history. His extensive grassroots community experience grounds him with the realization that he must take his vision for America to the streets. He knows before Lady Liberty can pull herself up by her bootstraps, each and every American citizen must envision a common goal. Although Democracy demands open debate and compromise to successfully attenuate our many differences into a focused effort, there is no time for extended partisan sparring.Across the media, the Republicans are already echoing the trite sound byte, "We cannot spend and borrow our way to prosperity" in opposition to President Obama's economic stimulus plan. They propose an across the board tax cut, instead. Regardless whether either plan is enacted, our government is forced to continue borrowing from the privately-owned Federal Reserve Bank to make up the budget shortfall. The difference is merely semantics.

Democratic President Franklin D. Roosevelt successfully steered our nation through the Great Depression after four years of Republican President Herbert Hoover's failed economic fiscal policies. President Hoover's false sense of confidence gained by his previous experience as President Woodrow Wilson's Secretary of Commerce mirrored President Bush's steadfast clinging to the Republican's "Trickle Down" economic policy. However, thanks to President Roosevelt adeptly guiding massive government expenditure public works projects through Congress during his term's first year, our nation's unemployed and working poor were given hope and sustenance to provide for their families while creating the infrastructure responsible for bringing our nation to the modern world's leadership position. Our aging national highway and bridge system, inefficient federal, state, and city government buildings, outdated and overstressed electrical grid and utilities, overcrowded public schools, undermanned law enforcement agencies, the absence of meaningful drug and criminal rehabilitation programs, and a shameful lack of modernized public transportation systems, prove our nation's public services are in desperate need of new investment.

If the Republican "Trickle Down" theory worked, wouldn't it have at least, started showing some minimal signs of progress over the last eight years? Unfortunately, our public infrastructure has continued to decay. In fact, there has been scarce new investment in any public sectors except a few political pork barrel projects. As our newly-elected president begins to spend some of his political capital to lead our nation into a new era of prosperity, there is much to be done by her citizens. This sad current state of affairs was created by all of us over a lengthy period of time. It will require equally as long to correct it.

Future generations are reliant upon us to make the right decisions. Even more importantly, we must take action to bequeath a better world to our children and grandchildren. We were given more opportunity than our parents. Do we not share the same responsibility for our descendents?Local community efforts to clean up our towns, cities, and countryside are in dire need of volunteers. Before our current era of a throw-away society, folks could not afford to discard possessions alongside roadways and neighborhoods. This self-serving interest was motivation to adequately protect our environment from pollution. However, a throw-away modern lifestyle with a lack of respect for our ourselves, our neighborhoods, communities, and countrysides, combined with a bourgeoning population are burdening our life-sustaining natural world with increasingly more damage. In fact, our planet's ability to maintain a stable climate may have already passed the point of no return. Time is of the essence.

As our federal government diligently works to turn around its own wasteful, environmentally neglectful policies, every American across this great nation must take small steps in their personal lives to contribute towards this shared common vision. It does not require life-changing decisions to contribute. Simple changes in individual household shopping habits can make a large positive environmental impact. Choosing energy-efficient light bulbs, keeping our thermostats lower at night, combining trips in the car, increasing insulation in our homes, carpooling when practical, are all small steps each of us can take in the right direction. Be creative and find your own unique contributions.

There is no doubt, history will scrutinize President Obama's presidency under the magnifying glass to determine whether he invested or squandered the American citizens' mandate for change. Rest assured, no matter the most noblest of intentions, he cannot perfect the required change without our help. Will history judge you and I favorably? Or will we be the first generation in this great nation's history to leave our children with less opportunity for economic prosperity and personal happiness? For our children's sake, take action. Join grassroots organizations to BE the change. If none exist in your town, organize neighborhood efforts to clean up your community and instill a sense of pride in your children. Be a leader. Our children's future depends upon it.

There are many challenges ahead, but if each and everyone of us will become the change, the combined energy expended towards humanity's common good would be a brilliant star shining brightly around the world. America could once again garner the respect and admiration of our global neighbors. Instead of exporting bombs and missiles, we could export positive energy, green technologies, and goodwill. This is the silver lining left by years of greed, despair, and poverty clouding our nation's vision. I believe this is the vision that President Obama intuitively knows is within our grasp. Will you take the baby steps required to achieve this vision of a greater future and nation? History is rampant with failed civilizations. Are we going to cease existing as a beacon for the world to follow? We cannot sit back, do nothing and point fingers. It's up to each of us. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen, if we believe.

MSG Food Additive - Slow Poison

I recently received this email and wanted to post it here. I'm sorry I do not know the original author, but known attributions and sources are listed in the article.
~Farah

----------------------------------------
Have you noticed over the past few years how fat our country is getting? I have. In fact, I noticed it with my own weight. Sure, I'm a middle aged guy and so it’s natural that I get a bit chunky, but it just seemed that it was happening a little too fast to be "normal."I wondered if there could be an actual chemical causing the massive obesity epidemic, and so did a friend of mine, John Erb.He was a research assistant at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and spent years working for the government. He made an amazing discovery while going through scientific journals for a book he was writing called The Slow Poisoning of America. In hundreds of studies around the world, scientists were creating obese mice and rats to use in diet or diabetes test studies. No strain of rat or mice is naturally obese, so scientists have to create them. They make these creatures morbidly obese by injecting them with MSG when they are first born. The MSG triples the amount of insulin the pancreas creates, causing rats (and perhaps humans) to become obese. They even have a name for the fat rodents they create: 'MSG-Treated Rats.'When I heard this, I was shocked. I went into my kitchen and checked the cupboards and the refrigerator. MSG was in everything – the Campbell 's soups, the Doritos, the Lays flavored potato chips, Top Ramen, Betty Crocker Hamburger Helper, Heinz canned gravy, Swanson frozen prepared meals, and Kraft salad dressings, especially the 'healthy low-fat' ones. The items that didn't have MSG marked on the product label had something called 'Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein,' which is just another name for Monosodium Glutamate.

It was shocking to see just how many of the foods we feed our children everyday are filled with this stuff. MSG is hidden under many different names in order to fool those who read the ingredient list, so that they don't catch on. (Other names for MSG are 'Accent, 'Aginomoto,' 'Natural Meat Tenderizer,' etc.)But it didn't stop there. When our family went out to eat, we started asking at the restaurants what menu items contained MSG. Many employees, even the managers, swore they didn't use MSG. But when we ask for the ingredient list, which they grudgingly provided, sure enough, MSG and Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein were everywhere. Burger King, McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, every restaurant – even the sit-down eateries like TGIF, Chili's, Applebee's, and Denny's -- use MSG in abundance. Kentucky Fried Chicken seemed to be the WORST offender: MSG was in every chicken dish, salad dressing and gravy. No wonder I loved to eat that coating on the skin -- their secret spice was MSG!So why is MSG in so many of the foods we eat? Is it a preservative, or a vitamin? Not according to my friend John Erb. In his book The Slow Poisoning of America, he said that MSG is added to food for the addictive effect it has on the human body.Even the propaganda website sponsored by the food manufacturers lobby group supporting MSG explains that the reason they add it to food is to make people eat more.A study of the elderly showed that older people eat more of the foods that it is added to.

The Glutamate Association lobbying group says eating more is a benefit to the elderly, but what does it do to the rest of us?'Betcha can't eat just one,' takes on a whole new meaning where MSG is concerned! And we wonder why the nation is overweight!MSG manufacturers themselves admit that it addicts people to their products. It makes people choose their product over others, and makes people eat more of it than they would if MSG wasn't added. Not only is MSG scientifically proven to cause obesity, it is an addictive substance. Since its introduction into the American food supply fifty years ago, MSG has been added in larger and larger doses to the pre-packaged meals, soups, snacks, and fast foods we are tempted to eat every day.The FDA has set no limits on how much of it can be added to food. They claim it's safe to eat in any amount. But how can they claim it's safe when there are hundreds of scientific studies with titles like these: 'The monosodium glutamate (MSG) obese rat as a model for the study of exercise in obesity.' Gobatto CA, Mello MA, Souza CT, Ribeiro IA. Res Commun Mol Pathol Pharmacol, 2002.So what can we do to stop the food manufactures from dumping this fattening and addictive MSG into our food supply and causing the obesity epidemic we now see? Several months ago, John Erb took his book and his concerns to one of the highest government health officials in Canada while he was sitting in the government office, the official told him, 'Sure, I know how bad MSG is. I wouldn't touch the stuff.' But this top-level government official refuses to tell the public what he knows. The big media doesn't want to tell the public either, fearing issues with their advertisers. It seems that the fallout on the fast food industry may hurt their profit margin. The food producers and restaurants have been addicting us to their products for years, and now we are paying the price for it. Our children should not be cursed with obesity caused by an addictive food additive. But what can I do about it? I'm just one voice! What can I do to stop the poisoning of our children, while our governments are insuring financial protection for the industry that is poisoning us?

Please forward this posting or a link to it, out to everyone you know in an attempt to tell them the truth that the corporate-owned politicians and media won't tell you.The best way you can help to save yourself and your children from this drug-induced epidemic is to forward this article to everyone. With any luck, it will circle the globe before politicians can pass the legislation protecting those who are poisoning us.The food industry learned a lot from the tobacco industry. Imagine if big tobacco had a bill like this in place before someone blew the whistle on nicotine? If you are one of the few who can still believe that MSG is good for us and you don't believe what John Erb has to say, see for yourself.Go to the National Library of Medicine at http://www.pubmed.com/ . Type in the words 'MSG Obese' and read a few of the 115 medical studies that appear. We the public do not want to be rats in one giant experiment, and we do not approve of food that makes us into a nation of obese, lethargic, addicted sheep, feeding the food industry's bottom line while waiting for the heart transplant, the diabetic-induced amputation, blindness, or other obesity-induced, life-threatening disorders. With your help we can put an end to this poison.

Please do your part in sending this message out by word of mouth, e-mail, or by distribution of this printout to your friends all over the world and stop this 'Slow Poisoning of Mankind' by the packaged food industry.Blowing the whistle on MSG is our responsibility, so get the word out. 'Adrenalectomy abolishes the food-induced hypothalamic serotonin release in both normal and monosodium glutamate-obese rats.' Guimaraes RB, Telles MM, Coelho VB, Mori C, Nascimento CM, Ribeiro. Brain Res Bull, 2002 Aug. 'Obesity induced by neonatal monosodium glutamate treatment in spontaneously hypertensive rats: An animal model of multiple risk factors.' Iwase M,Yamamoto M, Iino K, Ichikawa K, Shinohara N, Yoshinari Fujishima. Hypertens Res. 1998 Mar. 'Hypothalamic lesion induced by injection of monosodium glutamate in suckling period and subsequent development of obesity.' Tanaka K, Shimada M, Nakao K Kusunoki. Exp Neurol, 1978 Oct. No, the date of that last study was not a typo; it was published in 1978.Both the 'medical research community' and 'food manufacturers' have known about the side effects of MSG for decades. Many more of the studies mentioned in John Erb's book link MSG to diabetes, migraines and headaches, autism, ADHD, and even Alzheimer's.

Can We Talk? (Inspired by Deepak Chopra's Book of Secrets)

I believe our purpose in this existence is to learn and grow spiritually and to experience a physical sensory existence, including the full range of human emotions, pain and pleasure. Our ego tries to rule this physical existence apart from our Source while our conscience is our inherent compass always pointing to spiritual growth. Some are not good cub scouts or brownies, get lost along their pathway, and end up repeating their lessons until they get them right and are ready to move to a higher level of consciousness or enlightenment. I also do not believe we are limited to this planet in our eternal journey... it just seems totally improbable and impractical. The "heaven" which many spoke of may exist in another galaxy or simultaneously on this planet in other dimensions theorized by quantum physics to exist in parallel universes. We may socialize there in our "off-world" time and decide to revisit this existence when we are ready for our next semester, so to speak. *smile* Perhaps it is simply a reference to the knowledge we possess yet only realized by the enlightened. Regardless... I do not believe any of the prophets have ever spoken in literal terms when they speak of these matters.

Human spiritual growth is similar to Nature (Source) in that we evolve in leaps, or exponentially for you mathematicians, not in methodical straight lines. It is possible that human evolution experiences these leaps when certain enlightened souls return to this 4-dimensional plane to prod humanity along during times of cimcarrah (circular cycles with no forward movement). I believe every human spirit that has ever lived or will ever live in this physical world are simply different manifestations of a common Source which exists outside of our known dimensions and time as most people understand it. Time is a human concept for categorizing the near instantaneous on/off pulsating at the speed of light, our universe's natural frequency, in a near/far relationship to the NOW. However, in reality... time is only an illusion. As far as the earthly body we each possess... it is made up of the existing natural elements of this planet and is ours to use for the duration. However, we are not of this world or limited to this existence. MRI or any technological effort to monitor brain activity has never localized our consciousness. As Deepak Chopra as stated, “Our consciousness exists in space... sort of like the space within a house. You can tear down the walls/burn the house, whatever you choose to do to destroy the house, but the space that was within remains unbounded by any physical limitations.”

As the Universe (Source) renews us at its inherent frequency which I believe to be the speed of light (this aligns with Einstein's theory that "time" stands still). From peak to peak of this wavelength, one of the great wonders of Existence occurs. We simultaneously are the same consciousness, yet different... we evolve emotionally, psychologically, physically and spiritually with each on/off pulsation. Yet in the "off" mode, there is the unlimited potential for any reality to occur in the "on" mode. The Universe adapts to whatever we can imagine. Per Quantum Physics, we make the rules. There is no matter... only energy... and it constructs that which we expect to occur... in other words, consciousness creates reality. Therefore, our own reality is a product of our own consciousness. By our own creation, this existence can be our own personal heaven or hell... whichever we choose to make it. Likewise, if we believe that we will experience heaven or hell after we have died... our consciousness will create that, as well. Our consciousness is a minute subset of the Source... as Jesus said, "the Kingdom of Heaven is within". Perhaps He was referring to His intuitive knowledge that our minds create our own reality.

Most people have never really thought out their concept of heaven. Consider... in what form would you be? If you died today, would you want to be the same age you are in heaven? What if you were elderly, crippled, or even just overweight? Would it be heaven if you weren't young, healthy and perfectly formed? But then, would there be no elderly people in heaven? What about children? If a child dies before reaching maturity, are they condemned to live as a child for eternity? Would they have to accept a second-class heaven and never know the joys of marriage and family? What would heaven be like without growth? Can our human mind conceive of such an existence? or would it still be heaven? Not to me... how about you? I like hearing children play and watching them enjoy the simple things in life. I also enjoy the wisdom, kindness and patience of the elderly. This is just the tip of the iceberg... think about it a while. Does it really make sense that there is a heaven or hell? Perhaps in reality, these are just our different existences in different dimensions... yet, all pathways of spiritual growth and evolution? Perhaps we have no physical attributes unless we choose to come in to an earthly or other planetary existence... perhaps that is one of the great joys which offsets the pain and suffering we experience as we age, grow old, become ill and pass thru the portal of this existence. Think of all human experiences throughout the complete spectrum from ecstacy to great physical pain as opportunities for experiencing spiritual growth. If we realize that pain cannot affect our consciousness, our true eternal self and that it only affects our physical body, then we realize that there is nothing in this life that can harm us. We learn we are immune from any pain and suffering... it is only a sensation that we categorize as a negative experience based upon our human perception. Perhaps those whom suffer great pain become even greater spiritual beings because of their experience. Perhaps those whom live a "charmed" life must go through "class" again until they learn the lessons needed to attain the next level of growth. Perhaps they test themselves to see if they have learned humility.

I'm not saying I'm right, but we should logically think about our typical concept of heaven. When I used to question my preacher, Sunday school teacher, or fellow church members about these types of topics, I always got the same answer... "We just have to have faith." Yeah... right. That is a cop-out for saying, "I don't want to doubt or question my religion because I fear what I might uncover." Eventually, I got the reputation for being a "trouble maker". Lol But I believe it is our moral responsibility to question all things... discern for ourselves that which is true. Otherwise, we join the flock of sheep. Perhaps Jesus used the term sheep in a derogatory manner... calling followers "sheep" and the translation was whitewashed by the church to have positive connotations... who knows? Who can really claim to know precisely what Jesus meant? Not the written texts that we call the Bible... they were written at least one generation after his lifetime. If a news story gets exaggerated or the facts reported wrong from the time it happened until it gets on the 6 o'clock news or the next morning's headlines... how can we realistically expect ancient "reporters" to accurately record the "gospel" when they were not even born until after Jesus had already died? I do not believe it to be so... therefore, i question it. Once we remove the cloak of "Holy" from the Bible and realize it was created with human intent to fulfill human needs, whether noble or not... it has no more validity in human spirituality than any other ancient texts which guide us thru this life, ie... Lao Tsu's "The Tao". Imho, any religion which must exclude or condemn other religions to gain and keep followers fears its own shortcomings. There are many paths to enlightenment... none are wrong, as long as one can attain enlightenment. Sadly, I encounter few Christians whom have found it... perhaps it is not the shortcoming of Christianity as much as those whom have taken over control of its instruction.

However, it is my opinion that most religions are like plastic and nylon. Convenient... but certainly not organic. Durable... but lacking permanence. All will eventually decompose into their fundamental nature for the world to see. Then you will see what is real. The "holy" books of the Bible were selectively compiled and translated by King James' scholars and church leaders. They omitted other authentic ancient manuscripts that contradicted or diluted their desired effect. In addition to abandoning scrolls with contradictions and opposing perspectives, individual words were translated incorrectly and some were translated correctly, but their common usage and meaning had evolved from the time it was originally written. How can these texts be considered Divine? How can people be so gullible to believe every single word is the Word of God and believe each retains its literal meaning? Perhaps it's because they are told so every Sunday by someone who is dependent upon them believing this in order to provide food, clothing and shelter for themselves and their family. Unlike the Buddhist monks whom practice spirituality in an austere Spartan environment, typical western religious leaders live quite a luxurious life. I don't know how much money Billy Graham, Jimmy Swaggart, and their ilk make a year, but i assure you they enjoy more luxuries than 99.9% of their followers... or the Dalai Lama and other Eastern religious leaders. This is one of my biggest gripes about Christianity... there is no sincerity in their leaders. It is all about the money, power, and ego. Christianity has enough wealth to eliminate world hunger... yet does nothing more than make token efforts.

As far as religious figures throughout history... I believe they are no more divine than you or I. People with ulterior motives or that are unenlightened have always sought to create saviors to calm their fears of the unknown or to manipulate the masses to their own benefit. I believe Jesus, as well as other great prophets were enlightened manifestations of the Source whom had humanity's betterment as their motivation but to my knowledge, none have ever professed to be Divine. Only those followers whom sought recognition or other benefits have declared them so. Regardless, each of the previous prophets played an immensely important step in our spiritual evolution by increasing our awareness of the possibilities. It is now time to realize them. I believe we are past due for another great prophet to enter into this realm to enlighten humanity's progress as a whole. I also believe the current epoch ending on Dec 20, 2012 as the Chinese, Mayan and various other advanced cultures have determined, will be the beginning. At this time, our solar system will perfectly align with the plane of our Milky Way galaxy. I suspect this will be the beginning of the maternal epoch that has been prophesied to usher in peace and prosperity. If on a global scale, we believe it is so, we have the power to make it become real. Most will agree from experience, anything we can envision, we can create. Does it not make sense that this works on a macro level, as well?

In the next epoch, as our Earth attempts to heal herself by purging the blight of humanity upon her surface, true spiritual leaders will lead the enlightened to aid her. The earth is of the same Source as all living things, plants and animals... she is a living organism. It is our duty as spiritual beings to alleviate her woes. This is the essence of our required spiritual evolution during the next couple of centuries. It is time to expose and discard the antiquated fairy tales and stop the manipulation of humanity. It is time to sync in rhythm and become at peace with our planet. Never fear... we will do this. Humanity will survive. It is only a question of how much suffering and loss of physical life our "sins" will exact before our Mother Earth heals herself and we reach equilibrium again. Be a part of the solution, not the problem.
